The Broadway cast of Disney's "Aladdin" took a moment Tuesday to remember Robin Williams, who voiced the charismatic blue genie in the animated film.
Williams was found dead in his San Francisco Bay Area home on Monday, according to police officials. Officials said the actor hanged himself with a belt.
In a video posted to Youtube, James M. Inglehart, who plays the role of the genie on Broadway, tells a brief story about how as a teenager he aspired to play the role of the genie after watching the animated Disney film.
According to the video description, the tribute took place at the end of the Aug. 12 performance.
He then encourages the audience to participate in a fun rendition of "Friend like me."
