US Airways tweets graphic photo to passenger

PHOENIX - US Airways on Monday posted a message on Twitter that contained a very graphic image in response to a passenger.

Twitter user Elle (@ElleRafter) tweeted at @USAirways about a flight delay forcing an extended wait on the tarmac.

US Airways responded with: “We welcome feedback, Elle. If your travel is complete, you can detail it for review and follow-up.”

That tweet included a picture that showed a model airplane inappropriately positioned between a woman’s legs.

The photo was online for about one hour before being deleted by US Airways.

ABC15 has chosen to blackout parts of that Twitter image in the above photo.

US Airways later removed the tweet and issued the following apology:

No further details about how the photo made it onto Twitter have been released.

ABC15 has reached out to US Airways for a statement.
