A man with terminal cancer got a touching goodbye from some of his work colleagues: the giraffes whose enclosure he's been cleaning for years.
A Dutch publication reports the man, Mario, was able to visit his giraffe friends with the help of Stichting Ambulance Wens Nederland (Ambulance Wish Foundation), which helps grant end-of-life wishes to terminal patients who aren't mobile.
"These animals recognised him, and felt that (things aren’t) going well with him," Kees Veldboer, the organization's founder told Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.
