Taylor Swift visits hospital to sing, dance with Jordan Nickerson, a boy with leukemia

BOSTON - Taylor Swift is known for her songs of heartbreak, young love and relationships with various male stars, but she's also known to bring a smile to those who might need it most.

In one of her latest appearances, Swift visited Children's Hospital in Boston to brighten Jordan Nickerson's day.

Despite sporting superhero t-shirts and being surrounded with toys that little boys love, some days for 6-year-old Nickerson are hard.

Nickerson overcame a rare, genetic condition and had open-heart surgery as a baby, according to his Facebook page .

He battled the condition, known as Williams Syndrome, and fought through his heart problems, but was unfortunately diagnosed with Leukemia in late July.

Undergoing chemotherapy, lumbar punctures, biopsies, blood transfusions and daily hospital procedures is obviously difficult to handle, especially for a kid.

To make his stay at the hospital a little easier, he was recently surprised by a visit from the country-pop star.

Family caught the sweet moments on video, showing the singer playing with and performing "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" with Nickerson.

He clearly loved the attention from the singer as he bounced along to the song. Surely he wasn't the only one grateful for the attention, but his family was thankful for the support as well.

"She's an amazing person that brightened our sunshine's day," the family said of Swift.

Swift isn't the only one to pop in on Nickerson during his stay at Children's Hospital, though. Batman, police officers, clowns, family members and more have stopped by.

You can follow Nickerson's journey back to health and wish him well on Facebook.
