This might be the best father-daughter dance of all time.
McKenzie Carey was recently able to perform a dance to the popular Miley Cyrus song "The Climb" at a pageant with some special help from her dad.
During their dance, the 12-year-old's father choreographed a special routine for the song and lifts her up to perform the moves she can't do on her own.
According to Right This Minute , McKenzie loves to dance with her dad despite her everyday struggles with a life-threatening mitochondrial disease.
The family is hoping to raise funds for McKenzie's medical treatment via a GoFundMe page . The family has already raised about $62,000, but is still in need of more money as insurance is not paying for the alternative treatments she needs, according to the family.
"As a mother of a special needs child, there is nothing I won't do to help improve my daughter's quality of life," McKenzie's mom said on the website. "She is such an inspiration to everyone she meets. Please help us raise the funds we need to help our daughter and give her the best life possible."
McKenzie's family has also started a website for their daughter to raise awareness about her condition and tell her story.
McKenzie's dad Skyped with Right This Minute and gave an encore presentation of their dance online. To watch another dance and hear from McKenzie's dad, click here .
