RECIPE: Easy, kid-friendly, sweet crepes for Mom by The Good Egg

Looking to make Mom a special breakfast treat, or looking for a quick and delicious anytime snack?

The Good Egg stopped by ABC15 Saturday morning to teach how to make chocolate crepes with almonds, caramel and chocolate on top, served with a side of strawberries.

This recipe is perfect for kids to make alone or with a little help from Dad. It doesn't require any knives or dangerous tools, but some extra help may be required.

All of the ingredients can be purchased at the grocery store and saved or used later.

1. Get crepe wrappers (or make them yourself) and put your choice of solid chocolate inside them. Fold and warm up the crepes to melt the chocolate.

2. Further fold the crepes into triangles and layer with a dusting of powdered sugar, caramel and chocolate sauce, more pieces of solid chocolate, almond slices and whipped cream. Add washed strawberries on the side.

Kids can personalize these sweet crepes by drawing or writing with the caramel and chocolate sauces or by adding other ingredients.

The Good Egg sells crepes like these and many other tasty foods at all of their Arizona locations.
