Mom wears 'too short' dress to daughter's graduation to show daughter support

A North Carolina high school senior was sent home on her last day of school after being told her dress violated the dress code, so her mom decided to get back at the school in a unique and daring way.

According to Yahoo, the girl had worn the dress several times to her school and no one had told her anything was wrong with the dress.

School officials told her that she had to be picked up with just a few hours left in the school day so she could change clothes.

Her mom was outraged that the school decided the dress was inappropriate after several appearances, as well as the fact that they upset and punished her daughter on her last school day, Yahoo said.

The girl's mom posted a photo to Facebook of her and her daughter at graduation, and she happened to be wearing the exact dress that got her daughter in trouble.

"If her dress is too short, then my dress is too short, and I’m going to wear it in front of everybody and be proud just like she should have been able to on her last day,” she explained, according to Seventeen Magazine.

Many internet users and websites are applauding the "awesome" mother for taking a stand in favor of her daughter.
