Internet cats raising food to help cats in need

If you've ever found yourself watching cat videos on YouTube, you could actually be helping feed hungry cats around the U.S. with Friskies newest summer campaign.

"Cat Summer" staring Grumpy Cat, Nala Cat, Oskar & Klaus, and Hamilton the Hipster Cat is a music video that celebrates the smells and fun of the summertime. According to a press release, the felines are rallying "for fellow cats that are getting left behind this season while their owners outdoors are having fun in the sun."

Earlier this year, Colonel Meow, a friend of the five cats, passed away. Colonel Meow became an Internet sensation when his owners posted pictures of him online. He holds the 2014 Guinness world record for the longest fur on a cat.

For every video view through September 1, Friskies will donate Grillers cat food to cats in need in honor of their late feline friend. Up to one million donations will be given out.

The video features all five cats staring out the window and heading outdoors where they play with their human friends, frolic in the flowers, play on a slip n' slide and even smell the goods cooking on the grill to the tune of "Cat Summer."
