Four mobile and tablet apps you'll actually use

There's an app for everything these days, but not all of them are worth downloading.  We did, however, find a few useful apps.

1) Paperkarma:  We pay our bills online, chat online and buy online, but still the junk mail never ends. But the Paperkarma free app can help you get rid of all those coupons and catalogs that just keep piling up. All you have to do is take a picture of the junk mail and in just one day, they'll unsubscribe you from the spammer's distribution list.

2) Evernote:  Another great clutter-reducer is the Evernote app.  It helps you capture and organize everything. Best of all, it's free.

3) Waze:  Next on our list and also free is the Waze traffic app which shows you which ways to go. It one-ups regular map apps, giving you directions based on input from other drivers in real time -- meaning you'll have a heads up to avoid accidents, traffic jams and police. Waze was also named Best Overall Mobile APP for 2013 by Global Mobile Awards.

4) Word Lens: The Word Lens app translates any language instantly. The app costs $4.99 but it's a great investment if you're traveling overseas.

Watch "The List" on ABC15 weekdays at 4:30 p.m.
