Blind dog, Duffy, sees his owners again after surgery

MALVERN, PA - Dogs with cones around their necks generally aren’t too happy, but in the case of Duffy the Irish terrier, he just couldn’t stop wagging his tail.

According to YouTube user Benjamin May, Duffy is a rescue dog who “had a lot of struggles with his health.”

He had diabetes and eventually lost his eyesight. After taking medication, his diabetes was stabilized and Duffy was able to qualify for eye surgery.

Dr. Brady Beale at the Veterinary Referral Center in Malvern, Pa. performed the surgery, giving the rescue dog his sight back, according to May.

In the YouTube description, this was Duffy’s first time seeing his owners since losing his sight months ago.

Through the whimpering and tail wagging, a medical staff member is heard saying Duffy “did so beautifully” and that “everything was very, very smooth.”

Have you ever seen a happier dog in a veterinarian's office?
