Arizona Highways: The Bisbee Mini Museum of the Bizarre

BISBEE, AZ - "Being ordinary is nothing to strive for," says Renee Gardner. "The crazier, the weirder, the better."

That's the idea behind The Bisbee Mini Museum of the Bizarre.

The museum is a secret room with Gardner's personal collection of weird stuff. Admission is just $3.

It's no bigger than a walk-in closet and is full of items both odd and creepy, including a double-headed squirrel, shrunken heads, Fiji mermaid and vampire slaying kit.

Gardner's favorite is an intact mummified cat found in a swamp cooler.

She says she began collecting the items as a teenager and over the years people just began sending things to her.
