ASHBURY, New Zealand - You might be familiar with the popular game "Angry Birds."
But it's no game for postal workers in New Zealand!
They've actually begun carrying weapons to fend off aggressive magpies, according to TVNZ.
Some workers even have spikes on their helmets as a deterrent when things run "afoul."
Magpies are known for attacking during nesting season but some postal workers say this abuse has been going on for more than a year.
An environmental group says it will only intervene if the birds are attacking other birds, not humans.
Postal workers brought the issue to Ashburton District Council who told them it's a regional council issue to address.
