ABC15 uncovers new details in case of Jhessye Shockley

GLENDALE, AZ - At the request of ABC15, a judge has signed an order releasing additional details from a search warrant executed in November at the Glendale home of Jerice Hunter, the mother of a missing 5-year-old girl.

Jhessye Shockley disappeared in October.

The Glendale Police Department and FBI searched Hunter's home, looking for clues in the disappearance of the 5-year-old girl.

The newly released records reveal more than 100 items seized by investigators. The details had previously been under seal by the court.

The seized items include clothing belonging to Jhessye and others living in the home.

Investigators also removed several towels and cleaning supplies like bleach, Clorox wipes, a mop, and a bag of used latex gloves.

In the days after Jhessye's disappearance, police records show her brothers and sisters told investigators Hunter abused Jhessye and kept her in a closet where they often heard screams.

They also described her being hit with a belt and possibly a phone book.

Police seized belts and a phone book from the home in addition to razor blades and a kitchen knife, pillows, bed sheets and prescription medications.
