A Valley neighborhood that spent months openly battling a "drug house" on their street is about to get some relief.

The problem house has been sold.

Last week, the ABC15 Investigators profiled how a team of residents near 49th Avenue and Bell Road banded together to expose illegal and troubling activity at the home by recording the house and posting videos online.

The morning after the story, a home investment company made a cash offer to the owner and bought the home.

“We went over on Friday and met with all the neighbors and reassured them that we are going to completely reposition the house and make sure that the troubles that they had are gone,” said Kyle Wyloge, owner of Buying AZ Homes.

Wyloge said he previously tried buying the home in November, but his offer was rebuffed. After watching ABC15’s report on Thursday night, he decided to ask again.

His company is buying the house “as is.”

“It’s not the worst (we’ve seen),” Wyloge said. “But it’s the top three to five, for sure.”

He said it will take two to three months to completely renovate the home.

The homeowner's son, Christopher Allen, was also arrested on Wednesday for a probation violation. He admitted to ABC15 that he had recently done some meth and other drugs.
