10 Valley companies hiring workers now

PHOENIX - Applications for U.S. unemployment benefits dropped last week by 12,000 to a seasonally adjusted 350,000, the Labor Department said Thursday. The four-week average fell to 356,750, the lowest since March 2008, according to the Associated Press.

A Chicago-based restaurant is hiring nearly 200 new hourly positions for the company's new Scottsdale location. Portillo's will open its first Arizona location on the southwest corner at 90th Street and Shea Boulevard in late February but you can apply now. Applicants can apply at the hiring center location at 9160 E. Shea Boulevard, Unit 103A. Or pick up and drop off an application in the mailbox at the restaurant site.

A Surprise facility is hiring for three positions this week. Benevilla is looking for a daycare activity therapist, on-call bistro server and daycare supervisor.

BOK Financial is hiring for offices in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Mesa. They need to fill positions ranging from mortgage banker, retail  market manager, branch manager, teller to retirement plan sales manager.

In the airline industry, Airport Terminal Services is hiring for several positions including cargo agent, GSE mechanic, ramp agent, ramp crew chief, and others.

Avnet Integrated in Phoenix is looking to fill several spots from websphere architect, to SAP business manager, supply chain analyst, accountant and many more.

6. If you have experience in retail, CarMax is hiring this week. They're looking for retail managers, mechanics, reconditioning associates, customer advisors and other positions throughout the Valley.

EDMC Online Higher Education needs to fill several positions including academic counselor, finance manager, admissions representative, trainer and pre-admissions manager.

Phoenix retirement and assisted living community Beatitudes Campus in Phoenix is hiring for the positions of home health care RNs, assisted living coordinator, certified nursing assistant and more.

Arby's is looking for restaurant managers, assistant managers and shift managers in the Phoenix area.

The holidays may be over but IKEA is still hiring. They're looking for a receptionist and goods flow co-worker.
