If you're like me, your dog is family.

And if we found something wrong with her, we'd be getting to the bottom of it immediately.

Like Sacha in Goodyear she says her usually healthy pug started suffering from fatigue, breathing problems, tremors and seizures.

Even worse the same thing happened to her pug last year just before he passed away.

She was scared.

And after spending thousands of dollars in veterinarian visits, Sacha decided to switch out her dog's food.

She says the surviving pug improved almost immediately.

Sacha believes her dogs were poisoned by their food.

I can't say one way or another.

But this year the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) lists 7 pet-related recalls.

Including food with salmonella. Sacha's dog food is not on the list.

If you have similar concerns, it's important to file a complaint with everyone.

From the store where it was purchased, to the food manufacturer to the FDA.

The agency has a team of investigators.

-Make sure to save the original packaging.

-You'll need the exact name, and lot number printed on the food. Is it in a can? Bag? Box?

-What's your animal's behavior. Are they lethargic, throwing up?

-Don't throw the food away.  Investigators may need samples.
