Zip codes that totaled at least 50 recorded cases were included on the map.
Using data obtained from the Maricopa County Department of Health Services, ABC15 mapped out which zip codes had the highest number of cases for STDs in 2016.
It should be noted that the particular STDs documented by DHS are chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV, and syphilis and that the records displayed are not adjusted in relation to population. Zip codes with larger populations are more likely to have higher STD counts.
