A West Phoenix man has been arrested for allegedly dragging his ex-girlfriend outside his moving car then running her over.

Police say that on April 21 the victim and her ex-boyfriend, 22-year-old Cornelio Anthony Enriquez, got into an argument while in his car, in the area of 59th Avenue and Thomas Road.

Court records show Enriquez reportedly punched her in the face several times and then pressed the barrel of his .45 caliber handgun against her neck.

When the car stopped the victim tried to get out of the car, but Enriquez allegedly grabbed her by the hair and started driving, dragging her along the side of the car.

He later let go of her hair but kept the car moving. Enriquez reportedly ran over her back and head as he left the area.

Enriquez was arrested by police a few hours later.

He's been charged with assault, endangerment and aggravated assault.
