A 17-year-old suspect has been arrested for killing a man after a fight in southwest Phoenix.

Phoenix police say on June 28 just before midnight, near 107th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road, a fight broke out in front of a home.

One shot was fired, hitting 27-year-old Guadalupe Tellez Salcido III, who later died at the hospital. Another victim, a 15-year-old boy, was severely beaten during the incident, but he is expected to survive. He suffered cut and bruises to his knees, elbows, and stomach.

Police say the teen victim was not cooperative with officials.

On August 16 police arrested a 17-year-old man for the murder. He was on an ankle monitor for a prior arrest for car theft and drug charges.
