A man was arrested after secretly recording a woman in a changing room at a Tempe Old Navy store.

Police report that on March 17, a 25-year-old woman was trying on clothes in the dressing room of the Old Navy store at Tempe Marketplace. She was followed by a man, later identified as 35-year-old Jacob Cronin, who went into the adjacent dressing room.

She eventually noticed a smartphone peeking out from under the wall, and then she came out and confronted Cronin and called the police.

Cronin reportedly denied taking any videos of the victim but said he dropped his phone and accidentally kicked it while trying to pick it up.

Police released Cronin but took his phone, and after getting a search warrant, they found four videos showing the victim trying on various clothing.

Police say in one video, Cronin turned the camera toward his face and was partially visible on the recording.

Cronin was arrested in Gilbert on April 19 and is facing charges of unlawful recording.
