Police say a woman called 911 while her boyfriend and father captured a suspected burglar in their home earlier this month.

Police report that on February 14 around 3 a.m. they received a call saying a man had broken into a home near 58th Avenue and Baseline Road. The woman reportedly told police that her boyfriend and father took a loaded weapon away from the suspect and were holding him down.

Police soon arrived and saw two residents holding down 19-year-old Luis Adrian Valle-Martinez on the sidewalk outside the home. Martinez allegedly told police that he was looking for a drink of water.

The residents told police they found Martinez in the kitchen of the home.

Police searched Martinez and found a knife and a wallet in his pockets. The wallet reportedly belonged to one of the residents. Police retrieved the gun from the homeowner, traced it and found out that it was reported stolen during another incident.

Martinez is being held without bond since he was on felony release at the time of this burglary.
