A man who was arrested 11 times in eight months identified himself as his brother each and every time.

Mesa police report that Daniel Patrick Harvey had been arrested 11 times since September and each time he identified himself to officers as his brother.

Police say Daniel used his brother's identification when arrested mostly for drug-related crimes. Nine booking photos that were taken of Daniel were under the victim's name with none under his name.

It was mid-January when his brother found out that Daniel was doing this and reported it to authorities where he lives in Portland. The victim used a U.S. passport to identify himself. The brother told police that he has never even been to Arizona other that for a layover at the airport.

Harvey has been charged with four counts of criminal impersonation, eight counts of forgery and 15 counts of identity theft.
