A man was arrested outside of a Peoria government office after threatening, "to kill more people than in the Las Vegas shooting."

Peoria Police report that on November 14, a family member of 35-year-old Edward Santeford contacted police after receiving a text from Santeford saying, "He was going to kill more people than in the Las Vegas shooting."

Santeford reportedly said he was in the parking lot of the Department of Economic Security near 91st and Peoria avenues.

The family member reportedly told police that Santeford didn’t own a weapon but was eligible to purchase one. He was also on Percocet while sleeping in the car.

Police contacted DES who put the location on lockdown as police located Santeford in his car just outside the front doors of the building.

He was arrested without incident for making a terrorist threat.

In other texts, Santeford allegedly said, "The human race was a vile race and needed to be wiped out."
