Authorities say a Glendale woman evaded police for nearly two weeks after stabbing another woman with a large nail during an altercation.

On Feb. 4, a fight broke out between several women near the intersection of 59th and Olive avenues, according to Glendale police.

The alleged suspect, 25-year-old Isabelle Lynette Martinez, and a family member were in an argument with another relative's girlfriend.

Witnesses told authorities that the argument was loud enough to bring neighbors out of their homes to see what was going on.

The girlfriend’s stepmother came out and, according to witnesses, told Martinez to leave.

Martinez was grabbed by her sister as she allegedly stabbed the stepmother in the back with what police refer to as a ‘large nail-like object," puncturing her kidney.

Martinez and her sister then left the area, evading authorities for twelve days. Glendale Police arrested her on Feb.16 on aggravated assault charges.
