Each Friday, we're looking for your help to track down fugitives in our state.

Wanted: Joe Gonzales Ortiz
Charges: Criminal trespassing

Ortiz is a man with eight prior felony convictions including sexual conduct with a minor and has spent four years in prison for that crime. He was released from prison on March 30, 2015.

Less than three months later, on June 23, 2015, a woman living near Power and McDowell roads in Mesa was awakened by her dog barking. The woman told police that she got out of bed, walked into the living room and found a man looking up at her.

The man ran out of the front door, getting into an older black Cadillac.

Police report that a neighbors' security video show that car was driving up and down the street, before parking in front of the victims' home.

Police believed Ortiz entered the home through the master bedroom window after removing the outer screen.

A fingerprint was located near the window and was traced back to Ortiz.

Ortiz's whereabouts is currently unknown, but he has been charged with criminal trespassing.

Ortiz is described at 5-foot-9, 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
