PHOENIX -- Election results from Tuesday's voting are coming in, and may mean changes for some Valley residents.
One of the biggest issues decided is over budget overrides in some Valley school districts.
Unofficial results have been released, and it appears Mesa, Scottsdale Unified and Paradise Valley all approved overrides, meaning more money available for schools that had been suffering due to budget cuts in recent years.
Voters in the Higley Unified School District, however, defeated an override request.
Cave Creek voters also made it out to the polls Tuesday, approving a measure to bring retail giant Walmart to their city. Polls showed overwhelming support for propositions 400 and 401, with 76 percent deciding they do want the supercenter going up at Cave Creek Road and Carefree Highway.
As for Phoenix City Council races, Sal DiCiccio won a runoff election in District 6 against Dana Kennedy, while District 3 was won by Bill Gates.
Official results from Tuesday's voting will be released Friday.
