Shoppers in the southeast Valley have a fresh, new choice for their groceries.
Sprouts Queen Creek will open Wednesday, May 4, at Rittenhouse Road and Ellsworth Loop.
A 7 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony will kick off the grand opening celebration at the 28,000 square-foot store. Muffin and coffee samples will be passed out. Plus, the first 200 shoppers in line will receive 20 percent off their initial purchase. There will also be $1 deals throughout the store.
The festivities carry over to the weekend, when a "Taste of Arizona" food sampling event is on the agenda for Saturday, May 7, from noon to 4 p.m. Several local vendors are expected to take part.
