Pokemon Go is all the rage in the app store right now, but did you know how many apps can keep you heart healthy?

One of our favorites is Instant Heart Rate. (iOS | Android)

You can use the flash on your phone's camera to detect your heart rate any time, anywhere.

The American Heart Association says keeping the body hydrated helps the heart pump blood more easily.

You can track that with an app, too! Hydration apps include iHydrate (iOS) and Waterlogged (iOS). Just tell the app how much liquid you've consumed during the day, and it'll let you know if you're on track.

Did you know how important sleep is to heart health? Watch our story from last month. Tracking your sleep is also easily done with an app, just by placing your smartphone on the bed next to you.

Sleep Time (iOS | Android) and Sleepbot (iOS | Android) are two good ones.

Most health apps have a free and a paid version, so you're able to test out the basics before upgrading.

It's important to remember that these apps have very useful information, but they should not be replacing regular visits to your doctor.
