The Mayo Clinic explains how to treat Atrial Fibrillation

Mayo Clinic cardiologists, Luis Scott, M.D., and Komandoor Srivathsan, M.D.,  joined the cast of Sonoran Living Live for a discussion about atrial fibrillation and treatment options available at Mayo Clinic.

Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is the most common abnormal heart rhythm.

In a normal heart, the four chambers of the heart beat in a steady, rhythmic pattern. With AFib, the upper chambers of the heart fibrillate, or quiver/ twitch quickly, and create an irregular rhythm.

Many people don't know that they have atrial fibrillation, a serious but treatable condition.
