Terri O crafts: How to make fall table top decor

I love to decorate for fall. With the colors and easy to find supplies, it can take you all the way through to Thanksgiving.

I found the idea for the leaf bowl in a magazine. But I found the instructions to be terrible and totally off!

So here is the simple version... if there is one.

LEAF BOWL

Supplies:
Fabric leaves
Glue
Balloon
Paint brush
Clothespins
Tin pot or container

--Blow up the balloon to desired size. Attach a few clothespins to the bottom to hold it down and place it in the container.
--Paint glue onto balloon and lay leaves on top. Paint glue over each leaf. Continue building on top to create the shape of the bowl layering leaves on top of each other.
--Let dry completely. Pop the balloon and you are left with a very pretty but not so stable bowl.

HURRICANE CENTERPIECE

Supplies:
2 large glass hurricane lamps (I bought mine at Home Goods for $10 each)
Real and faux mini pumpkins and gourds

--Layer the pumpkins and gourds inside the lamps. You can use just about anything for these.

GOLD LEAF CHARGER

Supplies:
Gold or Silver metal flakes
Painted platter
Metal Leaf adhesive
Paint brush
Fall leaves
Faux or real pumpkins and gourds

--Paint your platter and allow to dry.
--Working in small sections paint sizing on outer rim of platter and apply metal flakes. The more you add the deeper the color.
--Allow to dry completely. Add leaves and gourds to center as your table centerpiece.
