Head to Saba's Mediterranean Restaurant                  on the southwest corner of Bell Rd. and Tatum Blvd., where they serve up authentic Mediterranean food that would make yaya proud.
Some of their signature dishes include their world famous gyros, a seasoned mix of lamb and beef shaved off the spit and steamed which makes the meat leaner and extremely tender all wrapped into a pita with lettuce tomato and homemade tzatziki sauce. You'll want to sample their lamb shank as well, this fall off the bone leg of lamb that is braised for 4 hours and topped with a phenomenal tomato garlic sauce and served with your choice of two sides. Other favorites include The Prawns dinner, tiger shrimp sautéed in white wine, garlic, onions, feta cheese and tomato sauce served with you choice of two sides. Also their chicken shawarma, tender chicken breast that is marinated grilled and topped with a zesty lemon garlic sauce which you can get as a pita wrap, on a salad or as an entrée with your choice of two sides. Don't miss their authentic homemade hummus and falafel that taste like they came from the streets of Israel. -- by far the best in town!

Grilled Veggie pita wrap
2oz of hummus (your choice of flavor)
1 zucchini
1 bell pepper (your choice of color)
1 tomato
1 onion (your choice of type)
4 table spoons Greek dressing
pinch of salt and pepper
2oz of raspberry preserves
2oz balsamic vinegar
2oz feta
1 (7 inch) Greek pita
1 (12x12) piece of parchment
1 orange
1 pickle spear
Slice zucchini in to long slices 1/4 inch thick. Slice tomato and bell pepper in half. slice onion into 1/4 inch slices. Place all veggies in a large mixing bowl and add the Greek dressing and the salt and pepper, mix well and allow to marinade for 20 min. put the raspberry preserves and the balsamic in a small mixing bowl and use a whisk to blend them together. Pre heat grill to med-high. Grill veggies to a soft yet firm feel. once the veggies are cooked slice them while still hot in to 1/4 in pieces. Warm the pita on the grill once its toasted to your preference remove from heat. Smear the hummus on the pita then place the 1/4 pieces of cooked veggies, next sprinkle the feta cheese on top and drizzle the raspberry balsamic mixture on top. Now wrap in a piece of parchment paper and garnish with a pickle spear and an orange slice.
Jerusalem Salad
2 Cups diced Tomato
2 Cups diced cucumber
1/2 Cup diced onion
1/4 cup chopped parsley
*3 table spoons lemon juice
*2 table spoons olive oil
*1 table spoon salt
*1/2 tea spoon black pepper
Add all ingredients into a mixing bowl and toss well. Garnish with pepperincini and paprika. Serve with warm pita bread.
* you may substitute the lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper for 2-3 oz of our homemade lemon garlic sauce see recipe below.
Lemon Garlic sauce
1 table spoon Ground garlic
1/2 tea spoon turmeric
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 cup olive oil
1 tea spoon salt
Place all ingredients except olive oil into a blender. Turn blender on high with the lid on. let blend for aprox. 1-2 min. Carefully remove lid while blender is on and slowly drizzle in the olive oil. You will see the sauce gradually thicken. Keep refrigerated before and after use. Shelf life is approx. seven days.
