The Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises money to support students and programs on behalf of the Maricopa Community Colleges, two skill centers and multiple satellite centers. The Foundation actively seeks contributions from a variety of public and private sources including individuals, corporations and other foundations. The colleges educate nearly a quarter of a million students annually in a wide variety of programs, preparing them for transfer to a university or entry into the workforce.
By preparing today's workers for tomorrow's careers, the Maricopa Community Colleges provide a future of economic contribution to our community. Our long-term economic and social health depends on a well-educated citizenry and well-trained workforce. No institution in our community does more than the Maricopa Community Colleges in education and training our workers and building brighter futures.
The Maricopa Community Colleges offer 1000 occupational programs (degrees & certificates) and 37 academic degrees, serving over 200,000 students annually. Over $22.8 million dollars in scholarships have been awarded in the last 26 years to more than 42,000 students and the Foundation distributes over $2.5 million in scholarship funds annually to an average of 2,000 students.
The Foundation has embarked on a comprehensive campaign to raise $50 million over four years to support student success in three areas: $25 million for direct support of student and undergraduate giving, $15 to support faculty and staff innovation, creativity and excellence and $10 million to support community partnerships that expand opportunities for students.
