AvaDent™ Digital Dentures Bring CAD CAM Smiles To 40 Million Long-Suffering Denture Wearers.

Loose dentures, sore spots, "denture breath"… these are common complaints heard every day from the over 40 million denture wearers in the United States. That's because the process for making dentures had not changed that much in nearly 100 years.  It was a tedious, messy, inexact process that dentists and patients had to put up with throughout history… until now.

Now there's AvaDent Digital Dentures, the world's first and only, two-appointment, computer-designed and precision-milled, digital denture.  AvaDent™,  whose name is derived from Ava meaning rebirth and Dent meaning dentition, allows dentists to offer their patients a precise fitting, aesthetic denture in as little as two appointments instead of the five or more appointments required for the old procedure.

AvaDent technology also creates a computer precise fit. Patient records are scanned and sent to a computer were a virtual, digital denture is designed. Once the design is complete, the digital file is sent to a five-axis milling machine where the AvaDent is precision milled from a patented, pre-shrunk, bio-hygienic disk of acrylic. This creates an AvaDent with an exceptional fit that also feels lighter and more natural in the mouth. In addition, the patented process for creating the acrylic disk creates a dense, non-porous denture material that resists the build-up of bacteria "poop", a major cause of "denture breath" and sore spots.

One final feature is the permanent digital record which is created for each AvaDent. This record offers the patient an added layer of convenience and security. Should a patient lose or break an AvaDent, a new one can be created from this record and sent to the dentist within 48 hours.
