Veterans are finding the Maricopa Community Colleges to be the destination of choice when looking to fulfill their educational goals. That's because the colleges are not only committed to helping students succeed, they also provide services that are specifically designed for veterans.

The colleges provide support to veteran students at our Veterans Centers. This support not only includes assistance with benefits, but with academic advising, tutoring, counseling and student support services.  What's more, Maricopa Community Colleges encourage and support student veterans through campus chapters of the National Student Veteran Association; which include creating a pipeline of support through the SVA chapters at ASU, UofA, and NAU.

Maricopa Community Colleges are taking the lead in developing a statewide effort to support active duty military and veterans who are interested in higher education, focusing on collaborative initiatives between community colleges and transfer universities, as well as fostering partnerships with community agencies.

Maricopa Community College's East Valley Veteran Center provides educational outreach, academic preparation, and college advisement services to veterans and their family members at no cost. We offer a "one-stop-shop" where veterans can get practical information about the educational resources available to successfully pursue a college education. This center also provides Skype services for families of active duty veterans, referral services to community agencies, and career/employment assistance.
