Maizie's Cafe shares a simple dish and cocktail for a simple life.

Strawberry Fields Salad

Mixed Field greens
Seasonal apples
Dried apricots
Strawberries
Red grapes
Roasted Cashews
Goat Cheese

Raspberry White Balsamic Vinaigrette (makes 1 quart)

2 Cups Raspberry preserves
1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 Tablespoon Honey
2 Tablespoon Orange Juice
2 Tablespoon White balsamic vinaigrette
¼ Cup Water
¼ teaspoon ground pepper
¼ teaspoon Kosher salt

Use whisk to blend all ingredients together for 3-5 minutes or desired consistency.
 
Bacon Bloody Mary

Bacon Vodka

1 750ml. premium vodka
3 tablespoons bacon fat

Add bacon fat to vodka.
Replace lid & shake
Let sit for 6 hours
Place in the freezer for 30 minutes
Strain into mason jar with coffee filter or cheese cloth

Bloody Mary

10 oz drinking glass
1 ½  oz. bacon vodka
Kosher salt
Crushed or cubed ice
Bloody Mary mix (store bought or homemade)
2 strips applewood smoked bacon
Pickled celery
Lime wedge
Optional: cocktail onions, green olives

Rim glass with salt
Place vodka and bloody Mary mix in a shaker
Shake for 3-5 seconds.
Pour over ice
Garnish with pickled celery and a lime wedge and of course bacon. Enjoy!

Blueberry Cucumber Mojito

1 ½ oz. Hanger One Maine Wild Blueberry Vodka

2 Cucumber slices

8-10 Mint leaves

6 Blueberries

½ oz. Fresh lime juice

¼ oz. Simple syrup or Agave nectar

Muddle all ingredients and shake

Pour over ice

Top with sparkling water

Garnish with cucumber, blueberry, & lime wedge

Sweet Tart

1 oz. Pages Wild Strawberry Liquor

4 oz. Prosecco

½ oz. Fresh lime juice

Serve in a champagne glass

Garnish with Sweet Tarts (party)/ or a lime twist
