STEM Saturdays
Phoenix / Arizona Science Center
STEM Saturdays: Celebrate Garden Week! The second week of April is National Garden Week and STEM Saturday invites you to celebrate by exploring desert plants and soil, the water cycle, greenhouse design and more! Jr. Scientists will experiment with science, technology, engineering and mathematics while discovering the science in their own backyard. 9 a.m.-12 p.m. $25 non-member; $20 member.

April 13
Gilbert Global Village Festival
Gilbert / Gilbert Civic Center
This is a multi-cultural celebration for all ages that brings neighbors together to learn more about each other. Enjoy an International Bazaar, dance, music, children's activities, arts & crafts and ethnic foods from countries around the world. Free. 3 p.m.-8 p.m.

April 14
Glendale Family Bike Ride
Glendale  / Sahuaro Ranch Park
Join hundreds of riders for wonderful weather and great exercise at the annual Glendale Family Bike Ride. This is a ride for all ages and levels of riders, from kids to adults. Both the long (15-mile ride) and short (6-mile ride) routes take cyclists on a leisurely ride through Glendale's neighborhoods and sections of the Thunderbird Paseo and Skunk Creek pathways. This is a free ride with no registration fees. The first 500 to pre-register (online or via mail) and check in on day of ride will receive a free 2013 Glendale Family Bike Ride T-shirt. Helmets are required and can be purchased at the event for $10. On-site registration is from 7-9am and the ride begins at 8 a.m.
