Arizona Parenting Magazine offers free family fun events

Chocolate Affair: Visitors will delight in the nearly 40 chocolate purveyors, featuring delights like chocolate-covered strawberries, chocolate-covered cheesecake and bananas, fried Twinkies, fried Snickers dipped in chocolate and much more, all along with free admission.  The candy factory will offer tours all weekend. Families with children will enjoy a variety of activities, face-painting, carnival rides, a rock-climbing wall and more. Friday 5-10pm, Saturday 10am-10pm and Sunday noon-5pm. ASU Night of the Open Door Downtown: ASU Night of the Open Door is an evening when ASU departments and schools open their doors to the public to showcase the research and projects they are working on. This event provides hands-on activities for all ages throughout the campus. This year will feature a "Sustainability Central" location with musical entertainment, food trucks and partner booths featuring their work with ASU to achieve sustainability goals. 4-9pm. Tale of Two Cities Parade & Festival: Celebrating the diversity of cultures from around the world this event will incorporate parade floats, food, arts & crafts and live entertainment.  The parade will begin at 10:00 am down Thomas Road between Litchfield and Dysart.  It will culminate with a festival on campus at Estrella Mountain Community College.
