In the spirit of Smithsonian Museums, who offer free admission every day, Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors

Phoenix / The MIM (Musical Instrument Museum)
See and hear how Mexican and Mexican-American music has evolved from roots in regional traditions to popular styles heard internationally. Join us for dancing, musical performances, crafts and storytelling. MIM's Café Allegro will also feature a themed menu and special gifts will be available for purchase at the Museum Store. Saturday from 9am-5pm and Sunday from 10am-5pm. Free with paid museum admission.
Phoenix / Arizona Science Center
Body Depot Gallery Lab Experiences at Arizona Science Center, Busy Bones, Monster Manual, Venom and Nano Latch-n-Catch are offered on a rotating basis to families, on Saturdays and Sundays, at 11:30 am and 1:30pm. Please call ahead to find out which lab schedule matches the date of your visit. No reservations necessary and labs are free with paid general admission.
