21 Cakes sweetens your evening with baking and decorating classes

Everyone deserves the chance to slow down and appreciate the natural goodness in our 'grab and go' world. If you have ever had the desire to learn to bake, 21 Cakes , the made-from-scratch gourmet bakery, is teaching natural goodness through their new dessert baking and decorating classes starting in April. This engaging class walks students through the secrets to the 'lost art' of baking, and then shifts attention to a hands-on cake decorating session. The classes are taught by the 21 Cakes dynamic duo, owner Linda Schneider and pastry chef Cisco Zazueta who will serve up an enlightening and relaxing evening at their Indian Bend and Scottsdale Road pastry shop.

Each class is an adventure in the kitchen. Starting with a glass of wine, Linda enlightens the group about the science of baking including: proper ingredient selection, measuring, mixing, and accurate baking times. Once the science ends, the art begins with as the pastry chef demonstrates expert decorating techniques, making them easy to mimic. Class participants will get plenty of hands-on practice and are able to take their edible masterpieces home to enjoy.

Everything edible from 21 Cakes is made on-site, ensuring their desserts never contain fillers, pre-made frosting, fondants, or additives. Since all of their recipes are made from items that any homeowner would have in their pantry, the skills learned in class easily translate to the home kitchen. Therefore, less than tasty cake mixes, pre-made frostings and pre-made decorations are a thing of the past.

The class is limited to only six participants, allowing for personalized attention and instruction. Perfect for date night, girl's night out, bridal party get-togethers, team building or just something fun and different to do, 21 Cakes baking and decorating classes enable participants to brush up on their baking skills while hardly noticing that they are in the kitchen. Cost is $85 per person with each class running for approximately three hours.

The classes are great for bridal showers, bachelorette parties, girls night out, date nights and mother-daughter bonding. For more information on the new baking and decorating class and to register for the next available class, contact 21 Cakes directly at 480-699-6220 and visit www.21cakes.com .
