Phoenix police discovered Summer tied to a tree in a parking lot and abandoned by her owner.
She was panting in the sweltering heat having run out of water hours before crews were summoned to rescue her.
Thanks to medical care at the Arizona Humane Society, Summer is ready to start the second chapter of her life.
As this beautiful German shepherd approaches the age of two, she is loyal and loving yet playful. She would appreciate daily walks, benefit from a little training and enjoy a spacious yard to romp in.
AHS officials say she is good with other dogs and kids.
She is available NOW at the Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is $110 and includes her spay surgery and vaccines.
