Rudy was in critical condition and facing an uncertain future after being hit by a car and was rushed to the Arizona Humane Society's trauma center.
His leg was mangled and he was covered with wounds but the veterinarians amputated his leg and were able to save his life. With a new "leash" on life, all he needs is a friend to bring in the New Year.
The German Shepherd mix tends to wobble a little and needs some assistance when being loaded into a car.
He needs someone who will take him for short walks every morning to continue to build his strength.
He is great with other dogs and kids but a family meet and greet is recommended to ensure a good match.
Rudy is ready to find a home for the New Year and you can adopt him today at the Arizona Humane Society's Petique Retail and Adoption Center located at The Shops at Norterra (2460 W. Happy Valley Road, Phoenix).
His adoption fee is only $35. For more information call 623-582-2513 or visit www.azhumane.org
