Pet of the Week: Playful Jazzy wants to be your companion

Jasmine is a petite, dainty Turkish Angora mix.  She is not only exotically beautiful with her almond shaped amber eyes and shiny luxuriant black coat, but she also has a lively and affectionate personality.

"Jazzy" came to the Arizona Humane Society as a stray with four tiny kittens, and after raising them in a foster home they all eventually found good homes, but Jazzy has yet to be adopted.

Jasmine will purr readily and knead her paws when you massage her ears and neck.

She also talks quite a bit which is quite endearing and the sign of an intelligent animal.

She looks you straight in the eyes and converses with chirps and chortles.  She will follow you around the house, eager to investigate every household activity.

Now that her kittens are gone, "Jazzy" has begun to play again with streaming chase toys and balls with feathers.

At times her play style can be a bit exuberant, so she should go to a home with older children or adults only.

She is beginning to play with her foster mom's cat as well, but a slow introduction to friendly cats is very important in her new home. She would prefer NOT having canine roommates.

Jazzy can be adopted for just $20 and this fee includes her spay surgery and vaccines. For more information call 602-997-7585 x 2045 and ask for animal ID number A405179 or visit www.azhumane.org .
