Pet of the week: Koda Bear needs a loving home for the holidays

With age comes wisdom and that is exactly what you will get with Koda Bear, an eight-year-old Labrador Retriever mix with soulful brown eyes.

Found as a stray wandering the streets, a Good Samaritan took in Koda Bear, but after a month of living together felt that Koda Bear's size was just too much.

The Arizona Humane Society disagrees saying his size lends to an amazing array of affectionate hugs!

He is familiar with walking on a leash, but may need a brush up course in house and potty training.

He knows "shake," "come" and "sit" and loves to lay beneath your feet

AHS officials say Koda Bear's past is a bit of a mystery so it is best to bring the whole family including canine companions in for a meet and greet, but we feel as if he would be a wonderful addition to any family who will appreciate his positive outlook on life.

Koda Bear is available NOW at Sunnyslope located at 9226 N. 13th Avenue in Phoenix. His adoption fee is only $35 and includes his neuter surgery and first vaccines. He is even microchipped!
