After being abandoned in a vacant dirt lot, Emmy and her three littermates struggled to survive for weeks while living as strays.
Somehow they managed to stick together until they were discovered by a Good Samaritan who took pity on them and brought them to the Arizona Humane Society.
Although Emmy can be shy at first, the 7-month-old Dachshund mix warms up quickly when you hold her close and cuddle her.
Eventually her bubbly personality surfaces and she's a bundle of pure puppy love- happily sharing kisses and constantly wagging her little tail.
She would flourish in a home where she would become the center of attention.
Whether she's rolling around in the grass and kicking her paws in the air, furiously shaking a stuffed toy, or simply galloping around the yard barking at leaves, she is sure to make you smile and win your love with her sweet and charming personality.
Emmy was available as of Tuesday afternoon at the Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix.
Her adoption fee is $160 and includes her spay surgery and vaccines.
