Pet of the week: Buddy available for adoption in Phoenix

If you love to take long walks, have a big yard and a huge heart, the Arizona Humane Society may have just the pet for you.

Buddy, a 7-month-old Great Dane, is 65-pounds of clumsy puppy enthusiasm and he won't stop growing until he's two.

Great Danes are big dogs who need big yards, big dog beds, and an owner with a big heart.

Buddy loves to take long walks, and relishes physical contact, whether overflowing your lap or at (or on) your feet.

He will need firm leadership and additional training in the "manners department" however he's very loving

Those interested in adopting Buddy must be ready for his colossal size, which comes with an appetite just as large. He gobbles up treats in seconds flat and will do anything for even the smallest morsel of food including sit and hake his giant paw.

He is good with other rowdy dogs but may be too boisterous for some dogs and young children; a family meet and greet is required.

Buddy is available NOW at the Sunnyslope Adoption Center located at 9226 North 13th Avenue in Phoenix.

His adoption fee is $160 and includes his neuter surgery and vaccines. For more information call 602-997-7585 x 2045 and ask for animal ID number A433513 .
