PHOENIX - Monkey got his name for a reason. The 3-year-old orange and white tabby cat spent two days in a palm tree, 50 feet up in the air before concerned neighbors called AHS' Emergency Animal Medical Technicians to come and rescue him.
EAMTs responded to over 26,000 calls for help last year and are dedicated to rescuing animals in distress.
Although he was dehydrated and hungry, veterinarians determined that he was otherwise healthy and could go up for adoption.
It's wise for the new owner to keep this adventure seeking feline strictly indoors where he can enjoy a tall cat condo, plenty of large windows to gaze out of and a cozy place to nap in the afternoons.
He is equally affectionate and playful and when he isn't chasing a laser light he prefers to sprawl out on your lap and soak up chin scratches and whisker rubs.
Monkey is available NOW at the Sunnyslope Adoption Center located at 9226 North 13th Avenue in Phoenix. His adoption fee is $50 and includes his neuter surgery and vaccines. For more information call 602-997-7585 x 2045 and ask for
