'Darcy' the Boxer, now at Arizona Humane Society, needs a home after being abused and neglected

Life thus far has been anything but easy for Darcy, a resilient dog who was abandoned in a backyard and survived weeks without food.

When the 5-year-old Boxer was rescued by Emergency Animal Medical Technicians, she weighed only 30 pounds and every bone in her body was visible.

Thanks to the Arizona Humane Society, she’s got her curves back and is ready to embark on a new life.

Sweet, social and affectionate, she wiggles whenever she meets someone new. She craves companionship and lots of love (she may lean on you while you pet her).

She’s great with other dogs, adores children and is sure to be the ultimate family companion.

Darcy is available now at the Humane Society's Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix.
