PHOENIX - Apps are overrated. There, I said it!
I'm a strong believer that most of us think apps are super important yet we never actually use many of them. We download them, install them, play with them for 5 minutes and never open them up again. Once in a while we'll open an app to show a friend how cool it is but we never use it again. Before we know it, we have 50 apps installed on our phone that we never use. Admit it, you're guilty of it too!
Now that I got that out of my system, let me admit that there are a few apps that I do use almost every day. Apps that I find useful. Here's my list of 3 Android apps I can't live without (that's an exaggeration but you get my point.)
If you use Twitter, you should use Seesmic. It's my favorite Twitter app out there for Android. It lets me log in to more than one account at the same time. I like the interface and the way it handles retweets. I can do the "new" retweet or the classic RT. Sure, Tweetdeck and the official Twitter client work too, but Seesmic is my favorite.
I'll assume that everyone already has this app because it's a MUST HAVE. Pandora is simple and something I use almost every day. There are commercials every 3 or 4 songs but it's worth it. I've created several channels based on my favorite artists that work out really well for my commute and my workout. I will admit, it seems to repeat songs often but I simply give it a thumbs down and it goes away. Pandora is free and one of my most used apps.
Bank apps are boring, right? Sure. That's true but they're also very useful if designed well. Chase has a great little app that lets me keep track of my accounts and deposit checks! I'm sure you've seen the commercials of the newlyweds depositing checks with their phone. It actually works and works well! I haven't been to the bank in months. If you're not a Chase customer, you're out of luck but if you are, get the app.
Those are the top three on my list, what's your top three? Comment below or continue the conversation on my Facebook page and Twitter feed .
