2nd suspect in 'Baseline' killings?
For nearly a year, the Baseline Killer was identified by only a sketch. In September of 2006, Mark Goudeau was arrested and accused of 9 murders tied to the Baseline Killer crimes. Valley communities breathed a sigh of relief.
Now, less than three months before Goudeau’s trial is set to begin, ABC15 has uncovered new details about his defense. A Phoenix police officer, assigned to track down the Baseline Killer, says he believes Goudeau did not commit all the crimes tied to the largest serial killer investigation in Arizona history.

Who is Mark Goudeau?
• Born September 6, 1964 (now age 46)
• One of 13 children, grew up in South Phoenix
• Played football at Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, but never graduated
• 1990 - Convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping, sentenced to 15 years for assault, 20 years for robbery
• 2004 - Gets parole from prison
• Been married to Wendy Carr for 20 years
• Wendy strongly defends her husband's innocence
• Arrested on Wednesday September 6th, on his 42nd birthday for crimes linked to the Baseline Killer
• Gets convicted on 19 charges involving sex assaults, and sentenced in 2007 to 438 years prison
• In early 2011, Mark will go to trial on 74 charges in the “Baseline Killer” crimes including 9 murders
