Looking to capitalize on the popularity of the Jodi Arias trial, Lifetime has confirmed they are casting for a movie based on the accused Valley murderer.
According to TV Guide , the network plans to center on the scandalous, sex-crazed trial which is still underway.
The 32-year-old is charged in the June 2008 killing of her lover in his suburban Phoenix home. She says it was self-defense, but police say she planned the attack on Travis Alexander in a jealous rage. Arias initially told authorities she had nothing to do with Alexander's death, then blamed it on masked intruders before settling on self-defense.
HLN has even launched a show titled 'HLN After Dark: The Jodi Arias Trial" in which their experts present a bold accusation each day, related to evidence and hot topics presented in court, and they argue all sides of the issue.
Lifetime is well-known for its made-for-TV movies based on real-life crime stories.
